In issue 66 of Whisky Magazine, Davidson laments about the tumbler as it “does little to enhance the aromas of a dram” and mentions that he had begun to ask for whisky in a wine glass. The Glencairn glass was designed by Raymond Davidson of Glencairn Crystal in 2001 after he became tired of the tumbler.
